Currently our worship services are in a blended format. We draw from both contemporary and traditional sources of music and include scripture, drama, video – anything that we feel helps us to focus on God and His redeeming work through Christ as witnessed to us by the Spirit. Our worship is not focused on style. Worship is more about heart than art. We do strive to minister with excellence, but ultimately we believe that our worship is for the audience of One.
We are first and foremost, worshippers. Whether it is singing in the choir, on a worship team, participating in drama, or playing in the band, our goal is to focus on God and to invite others to join us in the process of glorifying Him. We believe you cannot take others where you have not been yourself. So, as we learn what it means to live a lifestyle of worship, this becomes the heartbeat for all of our ministries.
There is a great history of choir at PFCN. This ministry is finding a fresh and relevant voice as it leads in worship each week. Auditions are not held for this group. Just come and join us at our next rehearsal! We meet each Wednesday evening from 6:45 to 8:00. (The choir does take a break during the months of July and August).
In addition to choir, we use worship teams on a regular basis. If you have interest in participating in one of these groups (usually 5-6 members each), please contact the Worship and Arts office. Generally, those who participate in these teams (or who also sing solos or are a part of other ensembles) participate in choir as well.
If you have interest in playing with our worship band, please contact the Worship and Arts office. This group plays for all of our services. We also include other instrumentation for specific songs or services, so please contact us if you are interested in participating.
From vignettes in the service to dinner theater productions, throughout the year we have opportunities for those who are interested in the dramatic arts to participate. To find out what is coming in the near future, contact the Worship and Arts office.
Do you have interest and skills in the area of lighting, sound, or other technical field? This also includes those who enjoy working with computers, video, and other media services. If so, we would like to talk to you. Please contact the Worship and Arts office to find out more about our current needs.
