David’s Prayer for his Son 1 Chronicles 29: 18-19 (Living Bible)
“Give my son Solomon a good heart toward God so that he will want to obey you in the smallest detail and will look forward eagerly to finishing the building of your temple, for which I have made all these preparations.” 1 Chronicles 29:18-19, Living Bible
King David could pray this prayer because he had given his son priceless gifts:
I. The gift of a good example.
“Children are natural mimics – they act like their parents in spite of every attempt to teach them good manners.”
II. The gift of Himself.
III. The gift of knowing the Heavenly Father.
