PHILOSOPHY OF MINISTRY

Strong and solid ministry finds a way to balance and incorporate both the Great Commandment (passionately loving God and others, i.e. Matt 22:37-40), and the Great Commission (making disciples in the name of Jesus Christ, i.e. Matt 28:19-20). There are five areas of ministry that will help us balance and live out these two scriptural mandates.

It is my desire for our PFCN Youth Group to be a Godly reflection in each of these 5 areas.

Worship (responding to & celebrating God's love - Romans 12:1)

Service / Ministry (giving to others for the Glory of God - 1Peter 4:10)

Evangelism (reaching out to the lost by the power & strength of God - Acts 1:8)

Discipleship (digging deep to mature and grow up in faith - Hebrews 6:1)

Fellowship (developing & encouraging Christ-centered relationships - 1Thess. 2:8)

Sunday morning 9:15 Bible Fellowship

Wednesday evening 6:30 - 7:15 Games and Worship

Wednesday evening 7:15 - 8:00 Small Group Discipleship

"Epicenter" is a high energy gathering of youth designed to help students discover and experience Jesus-the epicenter of life. Please join us in the student center on Wednesday nights at 6:00 pm for an awesome time of discovering and experiencing the love of Christ with friends!

Acts 17.28  "In him (God) we live and move and exist" (NLT)

Acts 17.24-29

"The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn't live in custom-made shrines or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn't take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don't make him. Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn't play hide-and-seek with us. He's not remote; he's near. We live and move in him, can't get away from him! One of your poets said it well: 'We're the God-created.' Well, if we are the God-created, it doesn't make a lot of sense to think we could hire a sculptor to chisel a god out of stone for us, does it? (The Message)
