WILL WE REALLY BE RAISED FROM THE DEAD?
I Corinthians 15:35-44
“All their lives (they) were held in slavery by their fear of death.” Hebrews 2:15
We cope with our fear of death in one of 5 ways:
1. Way of denial
2. Way of immortality
3. Way of the skeptic
4. Way of reincarnation
5. Way of Christ
Paul has wonderful news with the two critical points:
I. Jesus Christ rose again from the dead.
II. People who are “in Christ” at death can anticipate a glorious resurrection.

Paul answers the skeptics by way of example and then by way of explanation.
He gives three examples – the plant kingdom, the animal kingdom, the celestial kingdom.
If you look at his plant kingdom you will see God’s dynamic at work.
If you look at his animal kingdom you will see God’s diversity at work.
If you will look at the celestial kingdom, you will see God’s differentiation at work.
What will our new bodies be like?
That which was perishable will be raised imperishable.
That which was dishonorable will be raised in unbelievable glory.
That which was weak will be raised in magnificent power.
And that which was natural and temporary will be raised in a spiritual and eternal body.
