With Sympathy
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Frieda Luik following her death on January 30.  A memorial service will be held at Ross Hollywood Chapel on Tuesday, February 7, at 2:00 p.m.  A memorial fund is being established at PFCN in Frieda’s name.  To donate, please clearly mark your gift, “Luik Memorial.”

Update Your Photo
Curtis Farmer will be taking family photos today and next Sunday, February 12.  We hope you’ll take advantage of this opportunity to update your picture in our pictorial directory.  Just stop by the Fireside Room (404) after the worship service on one of those days.  There is no charge!

Weather Update
In the case of inclement weather, you may check our website (www.pfcn.org) or call the church voice mail (503-297-6100) for the latest update on any schedule changes.

Pictorial Directories
Pictorial directory order forms are available at the Information Center.  Prices are $10 for a large color directory, $5 for color refill pages, and $3 for a small black and white booklet.  New directory orders may be taken now, but will not be ready until Sunday, March 11, in order to include all updated photos.

February 5
There will be no Kid City on February 5 because some special guests will be visiting!  Carlos and Robin Radi, missionaries to Argentina, will speak to the elementary kids during Sunday School and to the larger church during the worship service.  We don’t want the elementary kids to miss this special visit!  Family Kid City will be held on February 12.

Springtime Spectacular

“I Choose Joy!” is the theme of this year’s Springtime Spectacular, to be held April 13-14 at Medford First Church.  The speaker for this district-wide women’s conference is Carolyn Johnson, and our own Brent and Jolene Wyss will lead the worship music.  The cost is $49 if received before March 26.  Registration forms and more details are available at the Information Center.

Missions

Alabaster Offering
The Alabaster offering will be received on February 26.  Giving to the Alabaster Fund helps provide buildings and land across the world.  One hundred percent of funds are used to purchase land and construct places for people to worship, heal, learn, and grow spiritually.  If you would like an Alabaster box to remind you of this offering throughout the year, you may pick one up from the Missions Center.

Missionary Books
If you haven’t yet read this year’s missionary books, check one out today from the Missions Center!  The six titles for 2011-2012 are:  African Dreams, Footprints on the Door, Nothing Stands in Our Way, Paul Orjala, Traffic, and Vistas.
